About Dr Denitza Mironova
Dr Denitza Mironova is a Paediatric Oncologist and Haematologist at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH), where she is the medical lead of the Paediatric Oncology Survivorship Program. She is also Co-Lead of the WA Comprehensive Kids Cancer Centre’s Survivorship Theme.
Dr Mironova is an active member of the ANZCHOG Survivorship and Transition group and serves as the group’s representative on the Children’s Cancer CoLab Survivorship Reference Group. She previously undertook a Clinical Research Fellowship in Paediatric and Adolescent Oncology Drug Development at the Royal Marsden Hospital in the UK and continues to contribute to the clinical management of patients enrolled in early-phase clinical trials at PCH.
Her research and clinical interests focus on childhood cancer survivorship and improving long-term outcomes for children and young people following cancer treatment. Dr Mironova has contributed to working groups developing renal surveillance guidelines for the International Late Effects of Childhood Cancer Guideline Harmonization Group and was Principal Investigator for an ANZCHOG study examining outcomes and late effects among survivors of infant acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
As Co-Head of the Survivorship Theme, Dr Mironova is passionate about strengthening survivorship care and supporting children and young people to live well beyond their cancer treatment.
